Pocket Printing Press
The Pocket Printing Press will allow you to perform eerie Ashes-on-the-Hand style effects in which your participant freely chooses a number from 1 to 10 only to have that digit appear on the back of their hand.
The device is hidden in an innocent mint tin (or other locations based on your preference). You can introduce the tin by removing a folded business card, photograph or billet (depending on your routine) from it. Later in the routine you remove a small vial from the tin and place it into your participant’s hand. Your hands are obviously empty. At the conclusion of the routine, the vial is opened and a small amount of ash is sprinkled onto the back of the participant’s hand and the number they freely chose appears on the back of their hand.

Everything you need is provided. You supply your own ash (from burned incense) for the vial (not exactly as shown).
